Finally Done!
So I am finally done my first set of midterms. Just in time for my second set to start next week. I am also done one of my large presentations and I am pleased to say it went very well. It was told to me that of the five people who presented Monday I was the best. I was also told I should go into marketing so that I could give company presentations to shareholders, etc because I am good at drawing people into topics that they had not previously been interested in. I have started to look through blogs again and I have found some great ones out there. I have especially enjoyed the bloggers who have photo galleries as well as their blogs. A great one is cynically.smiling. Her photos are very good. I hope she doesn't mind my throwing her link up here. I think I may have finally convinced myself that I should start writing down my opinions and views when it comes to social conflicts and issues in our wonderfully confused society as there as been quite a bit of interest from people this week when I have started off on one of my tangents. It even got to the point that one of the girls in my sociology class tuesday night was using my opinions to define the terms that were going to appear on the exam that night. I hope they didn't fail her. I think that now that my busy week is over as far as uni is concerned I am going to go relax.... wow it feels nice.

Holy Doddle!!
Yes I did just say holy doddle. My Anthropology prof has taken to using this term and I feel it fits to how my life is going lately. I am at the point where the switch in my brain is constantly in the on position. This will end when I finish writing the 52 odd pages of essays that are do in the next month. I am however quite happy with my courses as for the first time in my long university career I am pulling a 4.0 in two courses at the same time. the rest of the courses either don't have any marks yet or are too little to make any predictions. Work is going well on both fronts. I have been paired up with a new youth for a one on one at CPASP and it seems to be pretty good. I have been able to get him interested in volleyball and his mother was telling my supervisor that it was the first time that he as been that excited about sports and his instructors. The youth centre is still standing. I have had some interesting guest lectures this week, specifically revolving around the youth in the inner city and the involvement of youth in the YCJA. We had some members of the Youth Restorative Action Project (YRAP) come speak to us at it sound s like a program that I could fit into quite well. A neat thing they have done to help youth learn what rights they have is they have created a cd with hiphop and the charter of rights for youth within it. As I am listening to it I think it will be a good way to get the rights out to the youth so they know what rights they have as youth. The site is the following if you are interested in the program.http://www.yrap.org/ It started locally but is slowly making its way across Canada and it is even sanctioned under section 18 of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Next week is a busy one for me with a presentation and two large midterms but I will try to post more often.

Craziness!
I am getting to the crazy point in the semester. I am realizing that I have more assignments to do then I have time for. I have started getting more shifts at work. Why are readings so long? How do I become more productive? Why are today's youth having messed up problems on the nights I work? If only I could stop time for about a week. Thats all.

Why am I on here in the middle of my class?
Well I just finished my first in class quiz for sociology 377: sociology of youth. The question was: Who and What are youth? As I said to Kari going into class 'if I can't write a page and a half on youth after four years of uni dedicated to youth then I should be shot'. Sufficed to say I was the first one done and it only took me 15 mins. Now I have another 45 minutes to kill.
As for the rest of my week I have two midterms on Thursday before going to volunteer for PEDS 472 and then working at the youth centre. Thursday night after work should be used for some beers, then its the long weekend. I work a bit, need to read, and hopefully get some parts off of the truck to keep my winter busy. Well I think I should go see if the girls are done writing yet.
